What an interesting tie to Cindy Sherman styling where each frame seemed reminiscent of a scene once made elsewhere. It was a beautiful video, but I didn't understand how the settings and character portrayals spoke to the subject matter of the song. Where the song seemed interesting, and the video rightly cinematic, they felt sadly disconnected (in my opinion). I would be interested to see what other work both the artist and director had done, and how (if) those works were differently tied together.
